Follow Friday! Adriana Morales (Take 2)

I am thrilled to share another of Adriana’s blog posts with you this week as last week I was not able to promote her work as much as I would like to due to -30 air temps and frozen lines. So I offered to do a “Take 2” and do a better job of it.

Adriana Morales was born in Venezuela, is fluent in Spanish, and is the youngest of her family. Adriana relocated to the United States at a young age and lived in Florida for 26 years. She visits her family and friends in Miami often and delights herself with Cuban meals. Adriana lives with her husband in Tennessee, adjusted to southern living traditions, cares for a feline crew of 3, and works full-time in a leadership role with the State. Adriana enjoys adult coloring, bible journaling, piano playing, blogging and considers herself as an avid reader who has served faithfully in numerous ‘book launch’ teams over the years. What’s her favorite time of day? She enjoys waking up at sunrise to read her Bible, pray, journal creatively and lead an ‘on-line’ bible study for women. For over a decade, she delights in serving faithfully in discipleship communities. Her motto is “Truth in action”. Adriana is passionate about fulfilling the Great Commission. Professionally, Adriana has been in the mental health field for over 26 years and has faithfully served children, adolescents, and their families as well as adults with intellectual disabilities (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and both as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Tennessee. “KeyNotes in His Presence” captures Adriana’s ordinary life in Tennessee; she is mindful of her walk with Jesus ‘everywhere’ she goes. She adores Jesus Christ, her Redeemer, and Savior. Adriana is prayerful at sunrise, expects the ‘best’ when she walks thru the double-doors at Corporate and embraces adversity with a servant’s heart. The battlefield of ‘daily living’ is conquered in Christ alone.

Adriana is also the author of a newly published Bible Reading Journals!!

I encourage you to check them out (just click on one of the pics)

Be Well-Rested!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ~

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

Lord,

I am lifting up all of my burdens and hardships to You at this moment.

Help me find rest for my soul so I may be ready for tomorrow’s battlefield.

At times, I am quite overwhelmed with simple tasks, intricate relationships at work or at home with my loved ones.

It is an ongoing struggle, Lord!

In You alone, I find my rest. I want to be mindful of regular breaks throughout the day so I may rest in Your Word always.

The most important event of my day is to focus on You, Lord. I want to focus on You day and night.

Yes, Lord, I will always need your wisdom and inner strength even when I am feeling brave or confident about troubling circumstances.

Help me not to be weary or burdened.

One of my biggest challenges is to forgive those who have hurt me in the past… You want me to forgive immediately (Colossians 3:13 NIV) just the way You have forgiven me. Not once or twice, but seventy times seven! Lord, this is a true challenge when I am still hurting. Help me forgive everyone and help me be discerning as I move forward in relationships.

Help me be hopeful always, and restore all distant relationships.

Our Lord is the Prince of Peace and does not want for my heart to be troubled (John 14:27 NIV). He is always with me wherever I go (Psalm 118:6 NIV).

Praising Jesus for His Faithfulness, peace, forgiveness and compassion.

Lord, give me wisdom and discernment to do good so I may not only forgive but bless others at all times.

Strengthen my heart. Renew my mind. Refresh my soul.

I need to fight “the good fight” and do all the work you have prepared me to do.

I want to be well-rested so I may be courageous and Brave in all I do in Christ.

In Jesus’ name I boldly praise and pray,

Your beloved daughter,

Amen.

  1. Very excited for this giveaway and have shared on Facebook. I love keeping a bible reading journal, so this looks perfect. Also, I am presenting a women’s retreat this fall and would consider adding these to the ladies’ goodie bags 🙂
