Take 5: Our Work is to Bless, Encourage, and Edify Others

Our work is to be shared with others. To bless, encourage, and edify them in their own efforts

None of us is an island. We all stand on someone else’s shoulders.

For example: When we’re about to embark on a new venture we look for resources to guide us. That’s one of the supreme benefits of the internet. It’s why a multitude of conferences are held each year. And why coaches in every field are exploding in numbers and popularity.

Seriously, who wants to start from ground zero? No one!

So, we seek out those those who’ve already walked where we want to be and ask their advice.

We want to

  • Learn from their experiences so we don’t repeat their mistakes
  • Use the short-cuts they wished they knew about
  • Know how they became proficient and efficient
  • Employ the tools they used to find success
  • Be encouraged by their words—and failures—because they help us overcome the same obstacles

We find these people in Scripture—our most vital resource. And in real life.

Who has God used to equip you to walk out your calling?

Who’s encouraged you to work with excellence?

Who’s helped you obtain your knowledge and skills?

Who’s given you the inspiration to keep going when you want to quit?

That, my friend, is what we’re also called to joyfully do for others! Whether as a mentor, discipler, teacher, guide, or friend.

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.(1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that The Day of His return is drawing near.(Hebrews 10:24-25)

Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.(Exodus 17:12) If you’ve never read Ex 17:8-16, DO! It beautifully depicts the importance of supporting and encouraging others—even on the spiritual level.

Jesus, please help make my work will bless and encourage others, providing a foundation for others to build on. Please honor my efforts and use them for Your glory.

Blessings

Cheyenne

  1. Dear My Beloved Sister in Christ Mrs. Cheyenne Olson. Good afternoon or Good evening according to your time. Thank Lord Jesus Christ that we are still alive till this moment. Thank you for your nice cermony, you are great Preacher and Beloved Teacher. We agree with you that our work is to bless, encourage, and edify others, and to be shared with others, to bless and edify in their efforts, we seek out those who have already walked where we want to ask their advice. We want to: 1-Learn from their experiences, so we don’t repeat their mistakes. 2-Use the short-cuts they wished they know about. 3-Know how they became proficient and efficient. 4-Employ the tools they used to find success. 5-Be encouraged by their words-and failures because they help us overcame the same obstacle. Aaron and Hur they took a stone and put under Moses and he sat thereon and they stayed up his hands which were steady until until the going down of the Son, they defeated Am’alek with the edge of the sword. (Exodus 17:8-16) there are example to encourage each other (the 4 men who carried the Palsied Man. and when they coudn’t come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was:and when they had broken it up, they let the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay, when Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son thy sins be for given thee.)(Mark 2:1-12) We read together( Wherefore comfort one a other with these words) (1 Thessalonians 4:18) & (Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.) (1Thessalonians 5:14)and Jesus said (Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life.) (John 6:27) and said (Let your light shine beforeَmen, that they may see your Good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.) (Matthew 5:16)I agree with you in prayer seeking Jesus to help us making our work to bless and encourage others to build on, honor our efforts and use them for your glory God bless you my Beloved Sister and Teacher, and your family as well all staff working with you in your ministry, we all love you and pray for you.
